The Fello Review: CES 2025’s Top Tech Innovations

Jan 13, 2025

I had the incredible opportunity to attend CES this year, one of the largest and most prestigious tech conferences in the world. Walking for hours through the bustling exhibit halls, surrounded by the best in technology, was nothing short of inspiring. Over 120,000 people from all walks of life came together, united by their shared passion for the tech industry.

As Head of Business Development at Fello, I had the chance to connect with both familiar faces and new contacts, explore groundbreaking technologies, and reflect on some of the most memorable takeaways from my journey. Here are my key insights from CES 2025:

Nvidia CEO: AI Advancing Self-Driving Cars, Robotics, Digital Manufacturing at CES 2025

1) Slow, Slow, Slow… and Then Everything at Once

This year’s CES felt like the calm before the storm—a focus on laying the groundwork for the tech boom that’s just around the corner. Companies seemed laser-focused on building the infrastructure to support the next generation of developers, hardware builders, and tech generalists.

Take NVIDIA’s $3,000 personal AI supercomputer, Digits, as an example. Although not officially unveiled at CES, tools like this and NVIDIA Isaac Sim are paving the way for a future where AI development becomes more accessible and robust. It was clear to me that the tech world is building the tools and platforms needed to unleash the next wave of innovation.

2) Hardware and AI: Finally Together

Few things excite me more than the seamless integration of hardware and AI—a trend that dominated the CES floor this year. The possibilities of this pairing were brought to life by companies like Daedong, which showcased how AI-powered hardware can revolutionize agriculture.

One standout example was watching a robotic arm care for strawberry plants, meticulously removing dead leaves. This isn’t just about efficiency; it’s about creating sustainable solutions for industries like farming, where technology can enhance infrastructure and productivity in transformative ways.

3) Autonomous Vehicles: We’re Getting So Close

The progress in autonomous vehicles was another highlight of CES 2025. I had the chance to explore the Waymo exhibit and was impressed by the innovations they’re working on. The Zoox autonomous vehicle also stood out as an exciting glimpse into the future of self-driving transportation.

One recurring thought: while collecting training data for autonomous vehicles is incredibly costly, tools like NVIDIA’s AI training applications for autonomous vehicles are making significant strides in solving these challenges. Watching NVIDIA’s CEO discuss these applications was a highlight of the conference.

A personal anecdote reinforced this progress: on my way to the airport after CES, my Uber driver let his Tesla’s AI take the wheel. While he had to take control a few times, it was fascinating to witness the AI in action. It left me wondering how this tech will evolve into fully autonomous systems and how human oversight will play a role during the transition.

Final Thoughts

CES 2025 was a reminder that we’re standing on the brink of a new era in technology. From foundational tools for developers to AI-powered hardware and the near-future reality of autonomous vehicles, the innovations showcased at CES signal a bright and exciting future. It’s clear the groundwork is being laid for the tech boom of tomorrow, and Fello is excited to be part of this journey.
